Rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery near Ross. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home. John was born December 24, 1949 in Waco, the son of John and Mary (Jaska) King. He was a 1968 graduate of West High School. On January 11, 1969 he was united in marriage to LaDonna McConathy in West. John was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He worked as a diesel mechanic for various companies, and as a parts salesman for Lone Star Truck Group before retiring in 2014. John enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching Westerns on television. He loved watching his grandkids play sports and being with family. John is preceded in death by parents; and sisters, Mary Ruth Schroeder, Monica King, and Terry Walker. Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, LaDonna King of Whitney; his children, John Brian King and wife Vickie of Whitney; Natasha LaJuan King of Waco and Joshua Earl King and wife Stacy of El Reno, OK; sisters, JoAnn Kreder and husband Gary, Martha Stalkfleet and husband Brad, Cecilia Kuklies and husband Robert, Roberta "Robi" Gerik and husband Brice, and Edith Kubala and husband Mark; a brother, Sam King and wife Elaine; grandchildren, Angel Parsons and husband Mark, Reann Rodriguez, Kaelyn Williams, and Rylan King; two great grandsons, Cash and Cooper Parsons; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are David Williams, Craig Andrle, Rylan King, Sam King, Jr., Aubrey Gerik and Sammy Gerik. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Sykora, Sonny Jones, Mark Parsons, Mark Kubala, and Brice Gerik. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Aderhold FH
