Theresa M. "Terry" King Walker, 50, of Ross, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at her residence. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, by Janice Kaluza. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed. Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemtery near Ross. Theresa Margaret was born in Waco, Texas, to the late John and Mary Anastasia (Jaska) King, Sr. She graduated from West High School in 1974 and then entered into the School of Vocational Nursing at West Community Hospital where she became a licensed vocational nurse in 1976. She was currently working at West Rest Haven as a nurse and dedicated over 29 years of service to the elderly. Terry enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, camping and loved spending valuable time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Survivors include son, Matthew Walker, of Basile, La.; brothers, John King Jr. and wife, LaDonna, of Whitney and Sam King and wife, Elaine, of Ross; sisters, Mary Ruth Schroeder, Robi Gerik and husband, Brice, and Edie Kubala and husband, Mark, all of West, JoAnn Kreder and husband, Gary and Monica King, all of Ross, Martha Stalkfleet and husband, Brad, of Fort Worth, and Cecilia Kuklies and husband, Robert, of Lake Jackson; her best friend, Sue Jean, of West; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
