Ethel W. Ritchey, 86, of Everett, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Nason Hospital. She was born on June 19, 1929 in Clearville, Pennsylvania; a daughter Walter Ray and Ura F. (Means) Bowman. On February 20, 1948 in Winchester, Virginia; she was united in marriage to Donald M. Ritchey. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2012. She is survived by children: Karon Ritchey married to Melvin Huston, Bedford, PA; E. Lon Ritchey married to Petra (Koerner), Chattanooga, TN and D. Lynn Ritchey married to Patricia Ann (Samuel), Everett, PA; siblings: Brayton Bowman married to Arlene, Everett, PA; Phoebe Husfelt, Houston, TX, Gerald Bowman married to Mary Lou, Perrysville, OH; grandchildren: Erica and Megan Huston; Jennifer Hinojaso, Misty married to Matthew Hollar, Christopher Galipeau married to Chrissy, Jacqueline married to Michael Semore; Michelle Ritchey; Jeremy Ritchey married to Sheena, Jason Ritchey married to Jackie and Brian Ritchey married to Ashley; great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Trhystin, Angel, Antonia, Catilena, Paige, Jadon, Mason, Ally, Emma, Austin, Aden, Jackson and Bentley. She was preceded in death by the following siblings: Floyd Bowman, Kenneth Bowman, Vera Cunard, Arlene Goad, Mildred Beegle and Ronnie Bowman. Mrs. Ritchey was a member of the Yeager Lutheran Church and attended Everett United Methodist Church. Ethel enjoyed flower gardening and cooking for family gatherings. She cherished time spent with family. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Debi Decker officiating. Family and Friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA, on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 2-6 P.M. and on Wednesday from10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
