Bio

Martha Emily Morris was the daughter of John and Rebecca Morris. She was married to Andrew Jefferson Jones. The couple had three children including Robert Newton, Matthew Jefferson and Emily Jones. Martha and her children came to Texas sometime before 1870 with a wagon train from Mississippi. According to the 1870 census the family lived in Western District, Burleson, Texas. In 1880 Martha (55) was living in Hookerville, Burleson, Texas with her mother Rebecca (70) and her son Matthew (18). Contributed by: Julie Pinkerton Wallace #48774071.
