Bio
Spending her childhood days growing up in Brashear, TX, Lola was the oldest of nine children and a member of the Church of Christ since 1930. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1932. Lola married her loving husband, Vaulter, on April 8, 1934. They moved throughout the states of Texas and New Mexico during Vaulter’s career in school administration. As avid sports fans, Vaulter and Lola attended many sporting events, especially Texas Tech football and basketball games. In 1971, they made Grand Prairie, TX their permanent residence. Vaulter and Lola were happily married for 73 years, before his death. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Vaulter Floyd Hickman; parents, Frank and Vera Baxter; son-in-law, John Hester; step-grandson, Steve Hester; brothers, Woodrow Baxter and James William Baxter; and sisters, Jewell Loafman, Glenna Rose Baxter, and Pauline Barnes.
