Bio

Charles N. Copeland, 77, of Lubbock passed away Friday, June 8, 2007 at his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1930 in Osceola, Texas to Willie and Donnie Copeland. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Ethel Mae Copeland July 9, 1955 in Dickens. She preceded him in death on April 25, 2007. Survivors include two sons, Rick and Glenn Copeland both of Lubbock; a daughter, Joyce Englis of Lubbock; two brothers, Bob Copeland of Matador and Denzil Copeland of Dallas; and two grandchildren, Derek Copeland of New Deal and Brandon Copeland of Kerrville. Services will be held Monday, June 11, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Dickens with Rev. Chris Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-7 p.m.
