Whitney Messenger Friday, November 11, 1986 Mrs. Donnie Copeland Mrs. Donnie M. Copeland, age 90, of Rt. 1, Aquilla, died Saturday morning in the Whitney Hospital. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24th at the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home in Whitney, Rev. Allen Lane officiating, burial in the Peoria Cemetery. Mrs. Copeland was born December 25, 1895 in Falls County, the daughter of Scott and Mary Brazell Lloyd. She lived most of her life around Whitney and Aquilla, except for living in West Texas for some time. She and Willie Copeland were married June 7, 1914 and he died Dec. 3, 1944. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Faye Copeland at the age of two and a son, Lonnie Francis Copeland died in 1978. She was a Baptist. She is survived by: 5 sons; Sylvester Copeland of Brawley, Calif., Denzil Copeland of Dallas, Charles Copeland of Lubbock, Audie J. Copeland of Irving and Bob Copeland of Roaring Springs, 2 daughters; Alice Hartis of West and Mary Butcher of Aquilla, 1 sister, Nora Vaughan of Hillsboro and 23 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
