Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, April 7, 1955, Page 8, Column 2 Saturday Rites Set for Mrs. Anna Parkos Rosary and graveside services will be held Friday and Saturday morning for Mrs, Anna Parkos, 69, who died Monday at home in Los Angeles. Death came to Mrs. Parkos unexpectedly. The body was accompanied by children to Ord for final rites. The rosary will be said at the home of a sister, Mrs. Frank Kokes sr., Friday evening. Graveside rites will be conducted by Father Mike Szczesny, at the Geranium Catholic church, Saturday morning. Mrs. Anna Parkos, nee Novotny, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Novotny in 1886 in geranium. In 1930, she moved to California which has since been her home. Survivors include her three children, Lillian Clark, Denver; a son, Leonard and a daughter, Helen Byerly, of Los Angeles; three sisters Mrs. Jim Rybin, Mrs. Jim Petska and Mrs. Frank Kokes sr.; two brothers, Frank and Anton Novotny. High mass was said in Los Angeles, Wednesday morning before the family left for Nebraska.
