John H. Davis married Amanda Louise Parrent May 11, 1865, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana. They had three children, Josephine, Jessie, and Albert Davis. After John Davis' death, Amanda married second to John S. McCalla and moved to Oklahoma, and had three more daughters, Winnie, Katheryn, and Florine McCalla.
