Mrs. Regina Marie Kippes, 76, 1316 Wayne, died Saturday, Aug. 9, at her daughter's home in Wamego. She was born May 8, 1910 in St. Peter, the daughter of Frank and Katherine Scheck Wittman She live most of her life in the Bethel community near Silver Lake and Grove and moved to Topeka in 1979. Mrs. Kippes was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Topeka, Daughters of Isabella Little Flower Circle No. 534, Glory to God Prayer Group, Senior Citizen Golden Age group, Bethel Community Community Club andthe Ruth Crowl Paint Club. She was married to George Jacob Kippes Oct. 8, 1935 in Topeka. He died Sept. 5, 1969. Survivors include three daughters, Geneva Paternoster, West Covina, Calif., Darlene Williams, Wamego, and Cathy Wirtz, Topeka; four sisters, Adelia Rohr, Ida Zimerman and Matilda Wittman, all of Topeka, and Katie Graff, Calistoga, Calif.; four brothers, Wendlin Wittman and Victor Wittman, both of Topeka, Elmer Wittman, Quinter, and John Wittman, Sacramento, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Kippes will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. today at Brennan Funeral Home where rosaries will be recited by Daughters of Isabella at 6 p.m., by the parish at 6:30 p.m. and by the Glory to God Prayer Group at 7 p.m. today.
