Amberry R. King, son of Noah Morgan King and Jane Randalls, was born December 28, 1849 in Petterburg, Illinois. He married Minerva Jane Sayre on March 3, 1872 in Madison County, Iowa. They were the parents of 10 children, 7 living; Ivyl M. King of Englewood, Colo., Howard E. King of Chicago, Mrs. Bessie Corkill of Indianola, Walter W. King of Cimmaron, Kan., Perry S. King and Mrs. Nella Imes of St. Charles, and Mrs. Zella Powers of Winterset. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by Christine King, Carrie King, and Milton King.
