Military: pension papers gave the following, place and date of birth. He was 5 ft 10 in, light complexion, blue eyes, light hair and was a farmer. He resided in Gentry and Daviess Co. MO. His last wife gave the information of his marriage to Elizabeth Akes (but seem to have quite a few dates incorrect) and that he married 2nd to Sarah McMillen Nov. 19, 1912 who died April 4th 1920. He then married Mary Ernst March 4th 1922 and she died Nov. 4th 1922. C.B. Ewing signed an oath of Elizabeth dieing in 1905 and said he was a second cousin of Ben. F. Ewing. C.B. Ewing lived Pattonsburg Missouri. Death certificates of Sarah gave her father as J. Taylor born Ill. and mother Louisa Johnson born Illinois. Signed by Emma Ferguson of St. Joseph MO. Sarah was born March 17, 1860 in Ill. Mary Catherine's death certificate gave her birthplace as Henry Co. KY, her father as Evin Whitly and mother as Evelyn Todd both born KY. Burial was St. Joseph. !Census: 1920 Benton Twp. Daviess Co. Missouri Ed.48 sheet 6A Pattonsburg City. Wife Sarah J. 58 born Iowa.
