Bio
Joan E. Cassity, 77, of Casa Grande, was born on February 27, 1940 in Ashton, Nebraska and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, October 27, 2017. She is survived by Ron, her husband of 57 years, her son Michael (Cathy) of Aurora, CO and her daughters Kris Ernstmeyer (Bob) of Casa Grande, and Brenda Muhr, of Silver Lake, WI, as well as her brother, Delph Pokorski and two sisters, Irene Beasley and Elaine Novak, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan had a full life. From a childhood on a farm in Nebraska, moving to the Chicago area where her children grew up, to living in Ireland for two years. Once back in the states, she dealt with the Utah winters, before settling in Casa Grande after travelling throughout the Southwest in an RV with her husband, Ron. Wherever she lived she made a home, working and taking care of her family. Her wonderful cooking will be especially missed. Joan was a member of St. Anthony's Parish in Casa Grande. An interment is scheduled November 10 at 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Mesa, AZ. Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Homes, Diocese of Phoenix - Oct 2017
