Vera Ellen Weller, 96, of Dodge, Nebraska, died Friday, April 13, 2018, at Parkview Home in Dodge. A grave service will be held on Saturday, April 21, at 11:00 AM at the Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, Nebraska, with Fr. Rod Kneifl officiating. There will be no visitation. Vera Ellen Weller was born on December 23, 1921, in Creston, Nebraska, to Calvin and Mattie (Pilling) Gertsch. She attended District 8 Colfax County Grade School, graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus, Nebraska, and went on to earn her teaching certificate at Kearney State College, Kearney, Nebraska. On May 31, 1944, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Martin in Columbus, Kansas. Ellen later married Kenneth Weller on August 3, 2001, in Archer, Nebraska. Ellen is survived by: Brother – Russel (Norma) Gertsch of Park Ridge, IL Nieces and nephews Ellen was preceded in death by: Parents – Calvin and Mattie Gertsch 1st Husband – Lloyd Martin 2nd Husband – Kenneth Weller Infant Sister Brothers – Wayne, Clyde, Lester, Jack, and Marion Gertsch Sister – Alice Dietrich
