Ida was born in Anderson Co, TX to Jessie Jasper and Mary Carmel Killion Ferguson. Her parents are buried in Ferguson Cemetery. She first married George Edward Gibson 7 December 1899 in Anderson County. George was the son of George Knox and Louisa M. Hunt Gibson. He was born on August 23, 1866, in Anderson County, TX and died on June 4, 1908, in Hamilton County, TX and is buried in the Fairy Cemetery, Hamilton County, TX. Ida is buried beside her second husband, Andrew J. "Bud" Hassell, who she married 25 April 1920 in Anderson County. She died at her home on Walnut Street in Palestine, TX.
