Ruby lee Hejl-Bryant ~ San Angelo Ruby Lee Hejl-Bryant, of San Angelo, Texas, went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017. She was born in Taylor, Texas to Annie Dusek-Hejl and Stanislav (Jim) Hejl on June 11, 1925 and had ten siblings. Ruby's great joy was to help others and minister to them about the Lord. She was bold in her faith, never met a stranger, and "Loved her Jesus." She was always going to the highways and the byways looking for those that had been forgotten in order to tell them about salvation and healing through Jesus. Ruby married W.J. (Bill) Bryant on Oct. 17, 1941 and had three children: Marshall, Dexter, and Brenda. Ruby prayed for her family every night and was always on call for members of her immediate and extended family to call with prayer request. When she wasn't reading her Bible or praying for family she was cheering on her Texas Rangers. Ruby loved baseball and keeping track of all the Rangers' stats during the season. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. (Bill) Bryant; daughter, Brenda Bryant-Tisdale; sisters, Annie Wanoreck, Betty Holubec, Sadie Havlak, and Elsie Moeller; and brother, Jerry Hejl. She is survived by her sons, Marshall Bryant and wife Catherine, and Dexter Bryant and wife Valerie; grandchildren, John Todd Bryant, Rachel Bryant-Bilyeu and Misty Tisdale-Mullin, Jeremy Tisdale and Karen Smith; great-grandchildren, Summer Mullin, Emmett Tisdale, Kelly Reyna, Alexander Smith, and Jamison Ruby Smith; and siblings, Dorothy Harman, Mary Anne Harman, Stanley Hejl, Erving Hejl, and Lorene Snodgrass. Viewing will take place from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23 at Johnson's Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dr. Jerry Roich, and held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Johnson's Funeral Home, with graveside directly following in Fairmount Cemetery.
