SAN ANGELO - Annie Hejl Wanoreck, 97, of San Angelo, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at her home in San Angelo. She was born July 26, 1917, to the late Jim and Annie Dusek Hejl in Taylor, Texas. Annie married Edward ""Ed"" Wanoreck Sr. on October 12, 1935, in San Angelo. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, San Angelo and the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed farming for many years and later spent countless hours in her garden and yard. Her hard work and pride in her yard were awarded with being recognized twice with having the best yard in San Angelo even. Annie's strong will, character and faith along with her independent spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons Ed Wanoreck Jr. and Eugene Wanoreck Sr.; and siblings Betty Hejl Bubenik and Jerry Hejl. Survivors include her grandchildren, Sandra Watson, Diane Goble, Michael Wanoreck, Eugene Wanoreck Jr., Judy Odell, Gary Wanoreck, and Debra Hoelscher; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; siblings Elsie Hejl Moeller, Sadie Hejl Havlak, Ruby Hejl Bryant, Dorothy Hejl Harmon, Stanley Hejl, Mary Ann Hejl Harmon, Ervin Hejl and Lorene Hejl Snodgrass; as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
