Bio

Chock (Wilma) Miller, 63, of Paris, loving mother and ‘Gram,’ died peacefully at her home on Friday, Feb. 16, 2001. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Chock was born June 9, 1937, in Grapevine to Daniel and Mable Chastain Chumley. She attended Hugo, Okla., schools and was of the Baptist faith. She was loved by all who knew her. Survivors include a son, Mark Miller of the Unity community; two daughters, Nita Holman of Sumner and Lia Miller of Cooper; eight grandchildren, Amber Holman, Meggan Pridemore, Heather Holman, Hunter Miller, Cole Pridemore, April Miller, Ethan Pridemore, and Sydney Miller; two brothers, Pete Chumley of Hugo and Don Chumley of Oakley, Calif.; four sisters, Donie Tom of Hayward, Calif., Fern Bomer of Independence, Mo., Florine Gordon of Grant, and Juanita Little of Glendale, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Reba Berryhill and Ima Jean McBride; and two brothers, Troy Chumley and Daniel Chumley. Serving as pallbearers are Terry Slagle, Larry Slagle, Rick Jordan, Bill Sikes, Jimmy Carl Lassiter, and Randy Brown. Vance Barksdale is named as an honorary pallbearer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ella C. McFadden Hospice of Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital, 820 Clarksville Street, Paris, TX 75460
