Louise Timmerman Funeral services for Louise Timmerman, 80, of Wood River, formerly of Ord, were held Oct. 18 in Ord. Mrs. Timmerman died October 14, 1995 at the Good Samaritan Center at Wood River. The Rev. Jim Miller officiated at the 2 p.m. Rites at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery. Mrs. Timmerman was born June 12, 1915 in Wheeler County, Neb., to Fay and Cleo (Patrick) VanHorn. She graduated from Ericson High School. On January 9, 1934, she married Merl Timmerman. They farmed in Valley County and in 1971 moved into Ord. For the past four years she had lived in Grand Island and for the past two months made her home at Good Samaritan Center at Wood River. She had worked for the Ordnance Plant in Grand Island and had cooked for the Fairplay rural school west of Ord. She also was a cook at the Ord Hospital and had worked at the Ord Rest Home. Survivors include three sons, Ronald Timmerman of Omaha, David Timmerman of Ord and Merle Timmerman, Jr. of Wood River; five daughters, Shirley Roark of Grand Island, Patricia Ingraham of Layton, Utah, Janice Hodges of Butte, Mont., Kathy VanDeWalle of Alda and Debra Fredrick of Wood River; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Hackett of Johnson Lake, Gertrude (Pat) Vogeler of North Loup and Beth Hill of Ord; five brothers, Don Patrick and George Patrick, both of Scotia, Gene Patrick of Casper, Wyo., Kenneth (Bud) Patrick of Asheboro, NC and Bill Patrick of Ericson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Paul and an infant son. Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, October 19, 1995
