Beth Hill, 88, of Ord passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, at the Valley View Living Center in Ord. Mrs. Hill's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the Ord Memorial Chapel with Pastor Greg Barnes officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomington, Nebraska. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Beth was born March 12, 1924, at Ericson, Nebraska to Fay and Cleo (Van Horn) Patrick. She attended rural school through the 8th grade and graduated from Ericson High School in 1941. In 1943, Beth was united in marriage to Robert Adamek at Taylor, Nebraska. While Bob was in the service, Beth worked at the Ordinance Plant in Grand Island and then moved to her parent's home in Ericson until Bob was discharged in 1946. They moved to Ord and during that time Beth did the bookwork for Bob's plumbing business, worked at Cetak's Market and the Ord Hotel. In 1973, Beth married Jack Hill. The couple lived in Holdrege, and Ainsworth. Beth began managing Super 8 motels and traveled a five state area for over 17 years. Jack passed away in 1983. Beth continued with Super 8 until she returned to Ord in 1991, where she worked at the Ord Airport Motel until her retirement. She was a member of the V.F. W. Auxiliary and Bethany Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included bowling, embroidering and playing cards. Beth's especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sheila Adamek of Ord; a daughter, Becky Adamek of Ord; a daughter-in-law, Alice (Mrs. Dennis) Adamek of Denver; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Peggy Patrick of Denver and Bud and Shelby Patrick of Asheboro, NC; and a sister-in-law, Toni (Mrs. Paul) Patrick of Ericson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Hill; a son, Dennis Adamek; infant son, Danny Adamek; four brothers, Don, Bill, Gene and Paul Patrick and three sisters, Louise Timmerman, Gladys Hackett and Pat "Gert" Vogeler.
