Montgomery, 83, died in Taylor Nursing Home, in Vernon at 11:32 p.m. Thursday after a long illness. He farmed in the Samnorwood area many years. Mr. Montgomery was born at Ennis August 27, 1888 and came to the Plymouth area in 1905 with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Montgomery. Surviving Mr. Montgomery are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Montgomery of Samnorwood; five daughters, Mrs. Leon Patterson of Shamrock, Mrs. F. H. King of Hereford, Mrs. Donald Coleman of Samnorwood, Mrs. Edward Zedlitz of Lakeview Terrace, CA, and Mrs. Carroll Favor of Childress; a sister, Mrs. H. A. Bockmon of Samnorwood; a brother, Albert Montgomery of Canyon, 9 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. -------------------------
