Bio

Mount Ayr - Lois Barbour, 84, of Kellertson died May 21, 1992 at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Kellerton. The Rev. Joe Florendo will officiate the serrvice. Burial will be in the Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton. The Wilson-Watson Funeral Home of Mount Ayr has charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Kellerton United Methodist Church. Mrs. Barbour was born Sep. 9, 1907, in Grand River to Albert and Mae (Boles) Kirkpatrick. She was married to Granville Greene Dec. 26, 1926, and he preceded her in death January 1955. She married Gilmore Barbour March 17, 1957. She lived most of her life as a housewife in Decatur and Ringgold counties. Survivors include her husband, Gilmore Barbour of Kellerton; two sons, Henry (wife Marie) Green of Gladstone, Ore., and Ernest Green of Tarkio, Mo.; a daughter, Theola (husband Richard) Lesan of Turlock, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one step great-grandchild; a brother, Clair Kirkpatrick of Beaconsfield; a sister, Reba Lamb of Osceola; three half brothers, Kent Kirkpatrik of Lamoni, Clay Kirkpatrick of Davenport and Loudean Kirkpatrick of Osceola; and three half sisters, Kenlyn Kelso of Weldon, Leann Duss of Murray, and Delane Vanerflught of Grand River.
