Henry Greene, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and faithful servant of Christ, passed away peacefully at home in Vancouver, Washington, on March 15, 2025, at the age of 97. His life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith in God. Born on October 16, 1927, in Grand River, Iowa, Henry lived a life of integrity, kindness, and devotion to his family and faith. He was a man who believed in the power of prayer, the strength of community, and the importance of serving others. His faith in the Lord guided him through every season of his life, providing him with strength, comfort, and an ever-present sense of purpose. Henry was first blessed with a loving marriage to Marie Gunlsolley Greene with whom he shared many wonderful years before her passing. Though he experienced great loss, God's grace led him to love again, and he later married Kathy Greene. Together, they shared a life filled with companionship, laughter, and faith. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Granville Greene and Lois Kirkpatrick Greene. He is survived by his children from his first marriage, Kathy's children, and his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Henry cherished his role as father, grandfather, and great grandfather, always offering wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love. Henry passed peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his loved ones take comfort in knowing he is now at rest in the arms of his Savior, reunited with those who went before him. A celebration of Henry's life will be held on a later date at Laurelwood Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to Laurelwood Baptist Church, 17015 NE 6th St, Vancouver, Washington 98684. Henry's legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. "Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:23)
