THE SEYMOUR HERALD Seymour, Iowa Thursday, February 18, 1999 JERRY CURTIS Orpha M. "Jerry" Curtis, 89, of Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebr., died of a respiratory ailment February 15, 1999, at Perkins Pavillion in Hastings, Nebr. Graveside services will be held at Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour Friday, February 19, at 2:00 p.m. Jerry Curtis was born in Harvard, Nebr. She and her late husband, Paul Curtis, Sr., lived in Seymour for more than 50 years. He preceded her in death in 1989. At that time, she moved to Nebraska. A son, Neil Curtis, preceded her in death in 1996. She was a homemaker and worked as a night telephone operator. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and an active member of the Eastern Star Lodge. Jerry is survived by a daughter, Peggy C. Sharp of Durango, Colo.; a son, Paul C. Curtis, Jr., of West Des Moines; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seymour Community Center.
