Fort Bend Herald, July 21, 2006: Funeral services for Alma Kneitz Ludwig were held Friday, July 21, 2006, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Houston, with the Rev. John Rooney officiating. Rite of Commital was at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Alma passed away July 17, 2006. Oldest of two children, she was born Nov. 23, 1920 to Joseph Stephen and Edyth Kneitz of Fairchild. After graduating from St. Joseph School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, she began her career in private duty. Alma was married in 1944 and reared three children. She continued her nursing career for 36 years at St. Joseph's Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Sharpstown General Hospital, and ending at Kelsey Seybold Clinic. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edvin Louis Ludwig; her parents; her sister; and great-grandson. Alma, devoted wife, loving mother and loyal friend, is survived by her children, James Ludwig and wife, Judy, of Livingston, Judy Ludwig of Lombad, Ill., and Linda Barron and husband, Allen, of Missouri City; five grandchildren, David Barron and wife, Beth, Steven Barron, Michael Barron and wife, Heather, Allison Barron, and Shenan Hoppe-Ludwig; four great-grandchildren, Devin, Emily, Alexa, and Madilyn; and four brothers-in-law, Douglas Hyatt, Otto Ludwig, Louis Ludwig, and Reuben Ludwig; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. ****************************************************************************************** Houston Chronicle, July 19, 2006: Alma Kneitz Ludwig, 85, passed away July 17, 2006. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2006, at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris, with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage, with Celebrant, Reverend John Rooney. Rite of Committal will be held at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, 3900 BF Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, TX. In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be given in memory of Alma to the charity of your choice or St. Michael Catholic Church.
