Herald Coaster, February 8, 1980: Funeral services for Joe S. Kneitz, 82, of Fiarchild, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A K.J.T. rosary will be said at 7 p.m. followed by the parish rosary at 7:30 tonight in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Needville. Kneitz died Thursday night at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Edna Kneitz; two daughters, Alma Ludwig of Houston and Dorothy Hyatt of Austin; six sisters, Louise Gregory, Annie Kneitz and Cecile Raska, all of Needville, Toni Roane of Richmond, Sophie Stavinoha of Houston, Mary Raska of Sealy; two brothers, Stephen and Louis Kneitz, both of Needville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Davis Chapel in Needville after 3 p.m. today.
