Married first, 1920 Red Willow Co, NE, Katherine L Tines Three children, 2 dying in infancy Married second, Feb 24 1929 NE, Ida Brickner Two children ------------------------------------------- Obituary – Carl Wolf Funeral services were held from the Evangelical United Brethren church of Mira Valley on Saturday afternoon for Carl Wolf who died on Dec. 29. The services were conducted by Rev. E. H. Sohl. Interment was in the Ord Cemetery with the Hastings-Pearson mortuary in charge of the arrangements. Carl Leonard Wolf was born to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wolf on Feb. 23, 1895, at Bartley, Nebr., and passed to his reward on Dec. 29, 1952 leaving his age 57 years, 10 months, and 6 days. He enjoyed the privileges of our public school system, graduating from the Bartley high school after which he taught school for two years. In 1917 his parents with their family moved to New Market, Ia. From here he entered military service during the first World War serving overseas 11 months. In 1920 he entered Holy wedlock with Katherine Tines and In 1921 moved to Valley county Nebraska engaging in farming. This union was blessed with three sons, of which Charles is the eldest one. The two younger boys died in infancy. His wife Katherine also passed away at the time the third son was born. On February 24, 1929, Mr. Wolf again entered wedlock with Miss Ida Brickner which union was blessed with two sons, Leo and Lores. Mr. Wolf was engaged in farming throughout his adult life here in Nebraska except for one year when he and his family lived on a dairy farm in California. In his earlier life he was active in the Methodist church and community affairs. In the fall of 1942 during cornhusking he was kicked by a horse and has never been well since. He continued to live on the farm but was not able to do much work and since last spring was out and about very little. There remain to mourn his departure, his beloved wife, Ida, three sons, Charles and Leo both of North Loup and Lores at home; two grandchildren, his father, Daniel L. Wolf, Ord, and three brothers, Cecil and Scott both of Arcadia, Calif., and Harry of Ord, Nebr., and many relative and friends. The Ord Quiz - Thur, Jan 8 1953, Pg 7, Col 5
