Gebhardt was born July 16, 1906 in Valley County, Nebraska to Charles and Cora Jones Brickner and died July 8, 1981 at the Valley County Hospital in Ord, Nebraska at the age of 74. Ida grew to womanhood in Valley and Greeley counties where she attended rural schools. For a short time, the family lived in Canada where her mother died when Ida was only eleven. They then returned to a farm in Valley County. She was united in marriage to Carl Wolf in 1929. They made their home on farms in Valley and Greeley counties. Carl Wolf died in 1952. Ida was united in marriage to Greeley Gebhardt October 20, 1966 at Scotia. They made their home on a farm near Scotia. Survivors include her husband, Greeley Gebhardt of Scotia; two sons, Leo Wolf of Ord, and Lores Wolf of North Loup; four step daughters, Linda Marvicka of Grand Island, Salley Wilson of Aurora, Drucilla Jorgensen of Brush, CO, and Betty Rank of San Leandro, CA; five grandsons; 11 step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one sister, Iva Vejvoda of Perham, MN; and one brother, Rollin Brickner of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl, and one step-son, Charles. Funeral services were held Saturday and burial was in the Ord City Cemetery.
