Bio

Gertrude "Peg" Ciurej of Osceola, formerly of Columbus, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Osceola Good Samaritan Center in Osceola. Peg was born January 10, 1922 in Platte County near Duncan to Frank A. and Barbara (Terasinski) Tworek. She attended St. Stanislaus School and graduated from Duncan High School in 1940. Peg married Edward L. Ciurej November 25, 1942 at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan. Following their marriage, they lived in Omaha until moving to Columbus in 1967. Peg was a Quality Control Worker at B-D for 17 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the B-D Alumni Association. Peg was a member of St. Isidore Church and Christian Mothers.
