Moore Nolan - Buell Moore, 81, of Nolan, died at 8:40 p.m. Thursday at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Methodist Church of Nolan with the Rev. Ronnie Newton, pastor of the Evangelical Methodist Church, and the Rev. Ruth Cooper, pastor of Methodist Church, officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be at Slater's Chapel Cemetery under direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Moore, a resident of Nolan County for 80 years, was born May 9, 1899 in Cross Plains. He was married to Christine Robinson on Jan. 27, 1923, in Sweetwater. He was a farmer and rancher and a member of First United Methodist Church of Nolan. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 56 years, a worshipful master of the Eastern Star Number 4905, a member of the Agricultural Stabilization Committee and a member of the Divide School Board. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Linn of Nolan and Mrs. Suzy McMaster of San Antonio; a brother, Odos Moore of Sweetwater; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
