Alec Blair Rites In Sweetwater Today Sweetwater, Jan. 29 - Funeral for George Elliott (Alec) Blair, 61, member of the Sweetwater Fire Department for 18 years, is to be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. L. H. Hall, pastor, is to officiate and burial will be in the Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Blair, a native Texan and resident of Sweetwater for 20 years, died about 1:30 a.m. Monday en route from Sweetwater to the Young Hospital in Roscoe. His death was attributed to a heart ailment. He recently was released from the hospital where he had been under treatment for the ailment. Saturday he visited the Central Fire Station where he had worked and said he was feeling pretty good but that the doctor had advised him to "take it easy". Mr. Blair is survived by his widow; two sons, George and James of Sweetwater; three daughters, Mrs. Fritz Hendricks of Roscoe, Mrs. Dorothy Norris of Sweetwater, and Mrs. Ola Pearl Calloway of San Antonio; one brother, E. Blair of Eskota; four half-brothers, Otis, Buell, Sanford and Sidney Moore of Nolan and Hylton; and two sisters, Mrs. Melissa Moore of Colorado City and Mrs. R. O. Holland of Nolan.
