OKLAHOMA CITY — Fern M. Adams, 87, of Kearney, Neb., died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Baptist Village Home in Oklahoma City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with the Rev. Daniel Mosel officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery near Lexington. Fern was born Feb. 17, 1928, in Smith County, Kan., to Wright W. and Clara Anne Marie (Diechen) Baker. She received her education in Athens and Downs, Kan., before she graduated from Esbon (Kan.) High School. On Sept. 17, 1947, she married Eugene B. Adams in Superior, Neb. The couple resided in Milford, Lincoln, Gibbon and Kearney, all in Nebraska. Fern was an avid doll collector and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Adams of Gibbon; daughter, Laurie and husband Donald Mosel of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Melvin Baker of Buena Vista, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews. Fern was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Linda Bramer.
