Son of James William Clay of Bethany, Harrison County, Missouri and Minnie May Amsberry of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. "Ralph R. Clay died at the Sandhills Manor in Broken Bow, Nebraska. He was survived by his children, a brother, Harold and sister, Marjorie Myers; 15 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both wives, 3 sisters, 6 brothers, a granddaughter, Aimee Meinhardt and two sons-in-law, Clyde Johnson and Dale Meinhardt. His children were: Dawn Johnson and Anita Clay, borth of Merna, Nebraska; Sandra Meinhardt of Tucson, Arizona, Jean and Dillard Anderson of North Platte, Liz and Kevin Baker or Kenosha, Wisconsin, Lawrence and Corliss Clay of Kennewick, Washington, Richard and Judy Clay of Horton, Kansas, Jim and Peggy Clay of Burwell, Nebraska, Roger Clay of Merna, and Pat and Joan of Portland, Oregon."
