Hannah was born in South Omaha, Nebraska to Patrick Joseph Hassett and Marie "Minnie" Barry-Martin. She was baptized on Apr. 15, 1900, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in South Omaha, with Fr. D.W. Moriarty officiating. Hannah was married to John E. Shubert in June 1925 in Omaha. After his death, she was married to Frank Pospishil in 1941 in Omaha, and they had a son, Frank, Jr.
