Farmer Buried Here Saturday Prominent Bitter Creek Man Succumbs in Abilene Friday Fred Montgomery, 49, Bitter Creek farmer, was buried in the Sweetwater Cemetery Saturday morning at 10 o'clock following services held at the home of his mother, Mrs. J. C. Montgomery, on Ave. C. Mr. Montgomery died in an Abilene hospital Friday at noon as the result of an appendicitis attack. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Irye L. Townsend and interment was under direction of the S. M. Johnston Funeral Home. Mr. Montgomery had lived in the Bitter Creek community for a number of years and was one of the best known men in his section. He had many friends in Sweetwater.
