W. A. Davis, Sweetwater, Dead At 61 SWEETWATER (SC) — W. A. (Lonnie) Davis, 61, longtime Sweetwater resident, died Thursday morning at Simmons Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Fundamental Baptist Church with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Patterson Funeral Home is in charge. Mr. Davis, for many years Sweetwater Cotton Oil Mill Superintendent, was born in Cameron. He married the former Dixie Mae Eitel in 1919 in McGregor. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. A. M. Councilman of Odessa and Mrs. J. R. Green of Childress; two brothers, Doyle Davis of Sweetwater and Kenneth Davis of Fort Worth; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Strother and Mrs. A. H. Williams, both of Sweetwater and Mrs. Warren Frost of Dallas and five grandchildren.
