Herald Coaster, April 8, 1990: Funeral services for Ernest Marvin Maresh, 57, of Dickinson, are scheduled 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, at James Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson. Monsignor Eugene Cargill will officiate, with burial at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. Mr. Maresh, formerly a resident of Rosenberg, was born April 25, 1932 in Needville and died Thursday at the Veterans Hospital in Houston. He had lived in Dickinson for 30 years and was the owner of Ernie's Texaco Station. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Maresh served during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW of Dickinson. Survivors include his wife, Leota P. Maresh of Dickinson; a daughter, Linda K. Nichols of Dickinson; two sons, Gary C. Dunford Sr. of Deer Park and Curtis W. Dunford of Spring; two sisters, Mary Zgabay of Boling and Dorothy Lipinski of Richmond; six brothers, Alex Maresh of Richmond, Delphine "Red" Maresh of Beasley, Edwin Maresh of Alvin, Emil Maresh of Needville, Julius Maresh of Galena Park, and Jim Maresh of Houston; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at the James Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, which is in charge of the arrangements.
