From "Aurora News-Register", Aurora, Nebraska dated Friday, December 27, 1957, Page 1: Hold Last Rites For Mrs. Carl George At Stockham Bible Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret George, 68, wife of Carl George, were held Thursday at the Stockham Bible church, with Rev. Woodson Combs in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tucker sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Abide With Me." Pallbearers were Harry George, Willis George, Elmer George Robert Nickolaus, Harlan Nickolaus and Eldon Nickolaus. Interment was made in the Stockham cemetery. Mrs. George died last Sunday morning at their farm home 4 miles northeast of Stockham. She had been in failing health the last few years. The daughter of Michael and Christiana Parlanfine Nickolaus, she was born Dec. 25, 1888, in Hamilton county. She was baptized in the Reformed church at Sutton and was confirmed in the Methodist church near Hampton in her early youth. She was married on Nov. 8, 1906, to Carl George. To them were born three children, a son, Theodore George of Sutton, and two daughters, Eleanor Williams of Humansville, Mo., and Alice Schlepp of St Francis, Kan. They lived at their farm home near Stockham for 51 years and observed their golden wedding anniversary last year. Survivors include her husband and children; a brother, Henry Nickolaus; nine grandchildren; a great grandson; two sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law, and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, four sisters and a granddaughter.
