Married second, Sep 11 1918 Burwell, Garfield, NE, George H Burson ----------------------------------------------- Ann Burson Dies After Long Illness Funeral services were held at Ord Methodist church Monday afternoon for Mrs. Anna Burson who died Friday after an illness which lasted five years. Mrs. Burson would have been 82 on April 11. She was born to John and Mary Pokorney in Howard county, but as a small girl moved with her family to a farm four miles west of Ord where she spent the remainder of her life. Her first husband, Bert Wilson of Ord died on Dec. 23, 1915, and on Sept. 11, 1918, she married George H. Burson. She had five children in her first marriage and one in the second. Rev. Allan W. Martin officiated at the funeral services. Sharon Mason sang, accompanied by Doris Perry. Pallbearers were Albert and Joe Pokorney, Harold and Alfred Burson, Ed Elsik and Lumir Nemeskal. Burial, Ord cemetery with Hastings Pearson mortuary in charge. Survivors include husband George, three sons, Charles of Norfolk, George of Elyria and Joe of Wakefield, two daughters, Emma Van Cleave of Omaha and Vieva Fryzek of Ord; three step children, Irene Plock, Burwell, Carole Nichols, Oregon City, Ore., and Otis Burson, Portland, Ore., one sister, Mary Sibal of Ogallala, 25 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
