K.C. Times, Thurs. Oct. 1, 1987-Kathern F. Stanley, 67 Atchison, Kan., died Sept. 30, 1987 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Burr, Neb., and had lived in Atchison since 1953. Mrs. Stanley was a nursing aide at the Cray Manor in Atchison for 22 years and retired in 1984. She was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainman Auxiliary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atchison. Survivors include her husband, Charles Stanley of the home; a daughter, Evelyn Higley, Atchison; two brothers, Ted Jones, Auburn, Neb., and William Jones, Falls City, Neb.; four sister, Sarah McVay, Auburn, Emily Bessler, Omaha, Neb., Vesta Spears, Lincoln, Neb., and Lucille Criger, Nebraska City, Neb.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Becker-Stanton Chapel, Atchison; burial in the Rulo (Neb.) Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the church's building fund.
