Herald Coaster, May 31, 1990 Funeral services for James Goates, 89, of Rosenberg will be held at 10 a.m., June 1 at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Burial will be at the W.O.W. Cemetery in Rosenberg. Mr. Goates, born June 12 in Guy, Texas, died May 30 at his home. Survivors include Daughters: Nettie Prihoda of Rosenberg, Louise Phillips of Rosenberg, Betty Gorka of Richmond and Bonnie Fogle of Richmond; 20 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a sister: Alice Summers. Mr. Goates was preceded in death by his wife, Millie, and a son, James Wilburn Goates. Friends may call after 5 p.m., May 31 at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Rosenberg which is in charge of the arrangements.
