Herald Coaster, December 13, 2004: Funeral services for Nettie Bell Prihoda, 82, of Rosenberg, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Donnie Melton officiating the services. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2004 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home. Nettie Bell was born Dec. 29, 1921 in Beasley to J.J. and Millie Calk Goates, and passed away Dec. 12, 2004 at her home with her loving family by her side. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Herbert Scruggs; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Goates; brother, J.W. Goates; daughter-in-law Jackie Scruggs; and her loving pet Annie. Nettie Bell is survived by her loving husband Johnnie; children: Tommy Scruggs of Caldwell, Sherry Coody of Rosenberg, Donny Scruggs of Sargent, and Ester and Larry McNally of Sargent; sisters: Louise and Bruce Phillips of Rosenberg, Betty Ann and James Gorka of Richmond, and Bonnie and Gene Fogle of Richmond; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special friends Randy and Michelle Glendening; loving pets Dolly and Kit Kat; and numerous other loving family and many friends. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg. 281-341-8800.
