CHILDRESS Carolyn Elizabeth Shug Childress, 70, was born in Fairhope and grew up in Robertsdale, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She graduated from business school and attended Livingston University. She loved being a homemaker. Her family meant everything to her and everyone she met she called Shug.She is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Tony. She is survived by her husband, David C. Childress of Foley; two daughters, Courtney Elizabeth Childress of Foley and Michelle Rene Tallent of Mobile; two sons, David C. Childress, III and Jonathan Christian Childress, both of Foley; three sisters, Juanita Freeman, Joyce (Teddy) Ludke, and Martha Loper, all of Robertsdale; two brothers, Gail (Charlotte) Cooper of Robertsdale, AL and Robert (Sherry) Cooper of Rosinton; two grandchildren, Natasha Carolyn Busby of Warrior, AL and Autumn Elizabeth Tallent of Daphne; one great grandchild, Madelyn Grace Gabriel of Daphne and other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Church of Christ, in Summerdale, AL. Rev. Billy Lambert officiating.
