Herald Coaster, August 30, 2002: Funeral services for Johnnie Buzek, 86, of Rosenberg, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Angeles Funeral Home, 1223 Sixth St. in Rosenberg. Mr. Buzek was born Oct. 18, 1915 in Ellinger, and he passed away Aug. 29, 2002 in Needville. Mr. Buzek was an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council 2801, an avid hunter, fisherman, and game player, and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Buzek will be remembered fondly by those who knew him. Mr. Buzek was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Buzek; his parents; four brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his daughter, Anna Buzek; his sons, Johnnie Buzek Jr. and his wife, Susan, Thomas Buzek, Allan Buzek, and Francis Buzek and his wife, Geradette; his grandchildren, Bradley Buzek, Bryan Buzek, Brent Buzek, Everett Buzek, Allan Buzek Jr., Joshua Buzek, Adam Buzek, Cecilia Buzek, Olivia Buzek, and Laura Buzek. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Angeles Funeral Home, 1223 Sixth St. in Rosenberg.
