Herald Coaster, May 24, 1962: Mrs. Rosy Genzer, a long time resident of the Fairchild community, passed away after a long illness. Mrs. Genzer was born in Ammannsville on September 27, 1889, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Stavinoha. She married Charles Genzer of Ammannsville October 27, 1909. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1959. They moved to the Fairchild community in 1912 where she and her husband resided until the time of her death. Mrs. Genzer was a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 49 of Needville and a member of the St. Michael's Altar Society. Funeral services were held from the Triska Chapel in Needville at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, followed by Requiem Mass at the St. Michael's Catholic Church at 9 a.m., with Rev. J.J. Tydlacka officiating, and assisted by Rev. Alois Nesvadba. Survivors include her husband, Charles Genzer of Fairchild; two sons, Ike of South Houston and Ted of Wharton; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Peterson of Needville and Mrs. Winifred Warny of West Columbia; five brothers, Frank Stavinoha of Holman, Edmund and Willie Stavinoha of Ammannsville, Jerome Stavinoha of Houston, and Henry Stavinoha of Schulenburg; eight sisters, Mrs. Annie Bohac, Mrs. Mary Janda, Mrs. Martha Martin and Mrs. Edna Kneitz of Fairchild, Mrs. L. Adamcik of LaGrange, Mrs. Marcella Bohac of Ammannsville, Mrs. Georgia Sulik of Liberty, and Mrs. Betty Ideus of San Antonio; sixteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were James Warny, Glen Warny, Charles Genzer, Frank Genzer, E.J. Peterson, Charles Peterson, and Ronald Genzer. Interment was made in the East Garden of Gethsemane in Rosenberg with Triska Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
