Herald Coaster, May 22, 1989: Funeral services for William G. "Bill" Sulak, 66, of Rosenberg, were held 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden officiated, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. A rosary was recited 7 p.m. Sunday at the Davis-Dawson Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Mr. Sulak, born April 28, 1923 in Wallis, died Friday night at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. He was the owner of Bill's Grocery Store in Rosenberg, a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight Council #2801, and a member of the Rosenberg VFW Post #3903. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Libbie Sulak of Rosenberg; daughters, Elaine Sulak and Lucinda Palmer of Rosenberg, and Barbara Karasek of Richmond; sons, Ben Sulak of Rosenberg, Will Sulak of El Campo, Jeff Sulak of Alief, Andy Sulak and Chris Sulak of Rosenberg; his mother, Mary Sulak of Rosenberg; sisters, Stella Chernohorsky of East Bernard, Virginia Hauser of Rosenberg, Ann Nichter and Mary Venglar of East Bernard, Dolores Schneider of Needville; brothers, Leonard Sulak of East Bernard and Daniel Sulak of Richmond; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Dawson Funeral Home of Rosenberg.
