Bio

Daughter of Henry & Priscilla (Keller) Smith. She attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Kramer High School. Esther married Edward Otterpohl on November 30, 1933 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. After Edward's death, Esther married William Campbell on January 22, 1951 in Yankton, South Dakota. She worked at Montgomery Wards and Becton-Dickinson before becoming the bookkeeper for Schwesers Department Store. She later went to work for the City of Columbus as a bookkeeper for the Water and Sewer Department. She also kept books for Campbell Plumbing. Esther was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to golf and go dancing. Esther is survived by: Son - Richard Otterpohl of Columbus, NE Nephews and Nieces Esther was preceded in death by: Parents - Henry & Priscilla Smith Husband - Edward Otterpohl Husband - William Campbell Sister - Susan Speicher Sister - Elsa Lusche Sister - Mayme Schram Brother - Elmer Smith Brother - Everett Smith Cousin - Charlotte Nichols Nephews & Nieces
