Bio

Clive Hale SAN SABA — Funeral services for Clive "Al" Hale, 74, of San Saba, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at the Howell Doran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Brand officiating. Interment will follow at the Terry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 at the funeral home. Mr. Hale died Friday, Dec. 21, in San Antonio. He was born June 17, 1927 in Fisher County, the son of Travis Alton Hale and Lizzie Wyatt Hale. On March 25, 1984, he married Marjorie Zucha in Las Vegas. He was a construction contractor. Survivors include his wife, Margie Hale of San Saba; three sons, Gary Ray Higginbotham and Rocky Lee Higginbotham, both of San Saba, and Roger Lee Hale of Oxnord, Calif.; four daughters, Imagene Price of Odessa, Joline Matlock of Banneau, S.C., Brenda Veal of Sweetwater, Vickie Hale of Bowie; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Cecil Hale of San Saba; five sisters, Ruth Hyatt of Andrews, Mildred Crouch of Hamlin, Wanda White of West Virginia, Evelyn Glover of Midland, and Helen Vann of Tuscon, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
