Bio

Iris Lee Landrum was born April 13, 1923 in Marietta, the daughter of Archie and Zona Johnston Buckley. She passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta, at the age of 91. A homemaker, Mrs. Landrum had been a resident of Marietta for the past 2 ½ years, previously making her home in Ardmore, OK. She and Gene Landrum were married at Shady Dale on August 15, 1942, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2003. Mrs. Landrum enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Ardmore. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Brandt; and three brothers, Everett Buckley, Gerald Buckley and Kelly Buckley. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Terry Landrum of Ardmore; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tom Brandt, also of Ardmore; two brothers, Joe Buckley of Marietta and Benny Buckley of Tulsa, OK; three sisters and brother-in-law, Sue Dvorak of Marietta, Jeanene and Buddy Bryant of Wichita Falls, TX and Sally Roberts of Ardmore; four grandchildren, Sharon and Mark Woodley, Darrell and Stacie Landrum, Jill and Sam Wallace and Marlene and Brad Hill; eight great-grandchildren, Angela and Jonathan Yandell, Megan and Bryce Hargis, Ashley Landrum, Jackson Wallace, Parker Wallace, Fisher Hill, Kalie Landrum and Kaleb Landrum; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jake Schesventer and Roman Yandell. Serving as casket bearers will be Darrell Landrum, Brad Hill, Sam Wallace, Jackson Wallace, Danny Dvorak and Joe C. Buckley.
