DeLeon Free Press (TX) - May 6, 1971 - Funeral Rites for E. C. Shupp - Elmo Curtis Shupp, 59, of Midland died in Midland Saturday at 8:30 p.m. following a short illness. The funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. in the DeLeon First Baptist Church with Narbors Funeral Home in charge. Burial was in the Downing Cem. Mr. Shupp was born July 25, 1911 in Dublin and he married Ora Champion in DeLeon Nov. 3, 1921. He was a member of the Baptist church. Surv: his wife of Midland; 4 sons, Damon of Killeen, Gary, Dennis and Danny, all of Midland; one daughter, Mrs. Geneva Smith of Midland; five sisters; Mrs. Susie Graham, Mrs. Velma Wilson, Mrs. Louise Bettinger, Mrs. Ina Pearl Robinson, all of Waco, and Mrs. Arbell Lewis of DeLeon; and four gch.
